From the sixth to the ninth of July, XVIII Days of the Middle Ages will take place in Old Tallinn. The neighborhood of the Town Hall Square and the Niguliste Church will turn into a Hanseatic city for this period.
The central event of the Days will be the Market of Masters at the Town Hall Square. There will also be a knight tournament, carnival and another events. The public will be offered concerts and real medieval entertainment during all four days. The skills can be tested in the workshops of medieval craftsmen, it will be possible to work out at the school of knights, to check the accuracy in archery, and so on.
On July 6, at 6 pm, the opening ceremony of the Days will be held at the Town Hall Square, and then a procession to the Vaike-Rannawiarav Bastion will begin, where the riders and archers tournament will be held. Also food and drinks will be offered, as well as music and the fakirs and jesters performances.
On seventh and eighth of July, St. Katarina church will host a concert of medieval music. Carnival will be held on July 8 at the Hopner House in Town Hall Square. It will be possible to take part in a trip around the historical places of Tallinn during all Days.
