As of the beginning of March, a total of 32 new cases of HIV and 10 new cases of AIDS were diagnosed in Estonia in 2018.

Of the new HIV cases, 10 were registered in the capital city of Tallinn, six elsewhere in Harju County, four each in Tartu and Ida-Viru Counties, three in Lääne-Viru County, two in the city of Narva and two in Pärnu County and one on the island of Saaremaa, it appears from data of the Health Board - writes err.ee
Of the persons diagnosed with AIDS this year, three each live in Tallinn and Pärnu County, two in Harju County, and one each on the island of Saaremaa and in Lääne-Viru County.
Last year, 219 people were diagnosed with HIV and 20 with AIDS in Estonia. Since testing began in Estonia, a total of 9,743 persons have been diagnosed with HIV and 524 with AIDS.
