Over the past 12 months, the average owner of an apartment in Tallinn earned about three hundred euros as a result of an increase of property prices. That was is demonstrated by fresh monthly review of the apartment market, which was conducted by Center Kinnisvara.
The average market price of an apartment in Tallinn reached 85 907 euros in April, which is by 3 749 euro more than in April of the past year. "March was a record month and the April apartments market did not break this record, although the general tend is clear - the market cost of apartments grows,"- said the head of the Center Kinnisvara Christian Airer.
"The average apartment in Tallinn is 51.8 square meters. And the cost of such apartment has grown over the past 12 months by 312 euros per month, on average. Along with investors, ordinary citizens payed attention to this, who more often invest free money in real estate."
In April, 705 apartments and 63.9 million euros changed their owner. The most active buying and selling took place in Lasnamae, where 160 transactions were made, at an average price of 1423 euros per square meter.
In the first half of each month, Center Kinnisvara makes a monthly survey of the apartment market in Tallinn. The data which is used for the survey comes from the database of the Land Department.
