The Tallinn City Government announced a tender for the development of a detailed planning of the site for a new Tallinn hospital, the volumes and spatial location of the hospital itself. Tender for detailed planning of sites along the Narva Highway 129 and 129b, the reference number of which is 187277, has a deadline for submitting applications for participation on 19th of June at 11:00.
The vice mayor of Tallinn, Merike Martinson, stressed that this project is so large and meaningful for the whole country that the government of the country should contribute to its implementation, because it is called to open a truly new era in the national healthcare.
The hospital plans to have about 4,000 workers and provide about a quarter of all special medical services in Estonia. The area of all (4-4,5 thousand) medical and technological premises of the hospital, according to forecasts, will be 100-120 thousand sq.m. The area of planned plots is 21 hectares. Buildings can have up to 6 floors.
