On the night of Wednesday, the first tram KT-6, which was repaired in the Czech Republic, arrived in Tallinn. In total, the metropolitan municipal company Tallinna Linnatranspordi AS (TLT) ordered from Czechs the repair of 12 KT-6 trams and 24 KT-4 trams.
The director of the tramway service TLT Andres Vain, who personally traveled to the Czech Republic to monitor the progress of the work, said that the quality of the updated transport exceeded all expectations.
"It's not about some cosmetic repairs. Instead, the Czechs carried out a thorough modernization of the trams. In fact, an entirely new, modern tram is being built on the old corpus, " - said Vaan.
