Celebration of 8 years after the reconstruction of Kalamaja Park

Today, July 21, the eighth anniversary of the opening of the Kalamaja Park after reconstruction will be celebrated with the concert of the ensemble "Traffic".

The concert will start at 19:00 and the entrance is free.

The Kalamaja Park is located on Teoestuse Street. The first written references to this place date back to 1561. Then there was a cemetery here, where about two thousand Swedish soldiers were buried. In 1780 there appeared a new gate tower in the Baroque style. In the early 50's of the last century the cemetery was closed, and its territory in 1964 was turned into a park. In the modern form, this park appeared before the visitors at the end of 2009.
