Movement - is life: allocation funds for sports activities

This year Tallinn will allocate 5.74 million euros for youth sports activities: since in comparison with last year the number of sports fans has increased by 5 percent, and the financial support for this sphere has been increased in the same amount.

Vice mayor of Tallinn, Vadim Belobrovtsev, noted that the city's goal is to provide high-quality sports services available to as many young people as possible. "It is very pleasing that today the number of sports fans has increased, which means that more and more young people find their way to an active lifestyle, - Belobrovtsev said, - This year we will support a total of 150 sports organizations, 21 823 sports fans and 526 trainers, for this purpose 5 742 484 euros were allocated. In comparison with last year, the budget has increased by about 300 000 euros."

City allowance provides 200 euros per person, to this amount can be added another 45 euros, if it is a high-quality sports club. A sports allowance is provided for sports clubs and schools, for sports activities for young people from 7 to 19 years and people with disabilities, as well as people with permanent disability (at least 40 percent).
